Please let me tell you a little about myself.

Born in Southern California, I graduated a year early from High School with a 3.75 GPA.  Starting in Real Estate shortly after graduating, I eventually took some time to go into the Naval Reserves, as a Hospital Corpsman.

After my time there I found I enjoyed and learned computer programming and computer analysis and worked in the field for a few years.  At about 30 years old my parents ask me to spend more time with my Dad.  He had emphysema, and needed help around the rentals.  I helped him in the day and took college classes at night to get my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

Helping Mom with the rentals became a full time job after Dad passed away.  In 1995 our entire family, Mom, my sister and her husband and 2 boys, all decided to leave Southern California and go to the Mid-west.  We picked the Joplin Missouri area for it’s weather, schools, and a few other priorities we were looking for.  When I moved I also got my Real Estate Brokers license in Missouri, and bought several rentals.  I expand on the number of rentals when I can, and am now up to 16 rental homes.

When my home in the Joplin area burned down in 2014, I decided to move my residency to what had been a vacation or weekend home since 2012.  I now have a nice place on the water on Grand Lake of the Cherokees, near Grove Oklahoma.  Okay, the address is Jay, but I am between the two towns, but Grove is a bit bigger.

I have taken Aikido Classes for about 15 years from a couple of teachers.  Aikido is a passive art, and as such fit me well.  With no attacks, only defensive moves. It made me less likely to hurt someone.  Something not to difficult when you are 6’4″ tall and weight about 250 pounds.  Allowing me to be passive and gentle was what I was looking for.  I was amazed at the power being gentle has brought with it.

I play at golf, used to play basketball (but it’s been a few years), I have played most ball sports.  Nowadays I do more fishing and boating, enjoy woodworking, and working around the house.  I have written poetry (self published), and have written an article that was published in the Discover Diving magazine (So, I guess that makes me a published author). I have started keeping chickens and am thinking about getting rabbits . . . if I can ever find the time. I play Pickleball and have started the Grove Aikido Club. I do each twice a week if I can.

I now consider myself semi-retired.  I find that my reputation for doing good work still brings me business.  I do personal and business consulting, but I seldom seek the work anymore.  Often I find my time spent helping friends or relatives.  I am always looking to make new friends.
